Eggs in Heaven by Carla Hall from THE CHEW

So after Marios Eggs in Hell Carla being a southern belle came back with her version--which of course we tried--both were good for different reasons --you gotta love grits for this one!

To make this for a late breakfast we took our morning walk and came back via the grocery store to get a slice of ham!!
1 cup quick cooking grits ( I probably should have halved this part for party of 2!!)
1 1/2 c water
1 c milk (skim)
1 tsp salt
4 T butter
1/2 c shredded cheddar
1/4c parsley chopped
Ham slice
Eggs
Bring water and milk to low boil -add grits and salt -stir until cooked or set
Now add in butter and shredded cheese and put it into either a frying pan that can go into oven or I put it into my small oval stoneware (Definitely should have halved this part of recipe!!)
Top it with your eggs in 350 preheated oven for 10-15 min until eggs are set
Meanwhile fry up your ham slice!
Eggs are done and fresh parsley is sprinkled on them!!
Place your slice of ham ( we halved it between us) and top with egg and grits!
