Tequila Sparkler
This is another Clinton Kelly cocktail from The Chew --light refreshing fun! I should have served it in a smaller glass (or made it a double!!)
- 1 ounce tequila
- 1/2 ounce homemade grapefruit syrup
- 2 ounces chilled Prosecco
HOMEMADE GRAPEFRUIT SYRUP
- 1 grapefruit (juice and zest)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- In a champagne flute add the tequila and grapefruit syrup. Top with chilled Prosecco.
- Garnish with a grapefruit segment.
- Homemade Grapefruit Syrup: Remove the zest of one grapefruit with a vegetable peeler. Combine the zest with the juice of 1 grapefruit in a small pot. Cover with sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Remove from heat. Let syrup cool. Strain into an airtight container.
